ABOUT ME

I began studying yoga when I was around 15 years old, although it was only in my 20s that my spiritual practice and deep understanding of yoga really shifted. For the last 10 years I have been working in the fashion industry in London; in my early 20s as a model and for the last 5 years at luxury fashion houses, very intense working environments! The stress was immense; my nervous system was fried, I was burnt out and my endocrine system had shut down entirely.

Yoga was my sanctuary amidst the chaos. I found immense safety on the mat. It felt like a place where I could rest, find respite, and enter into a sort of trance-like state. After 90-120 minutes of meditation, chanting, pranayama, ujai breathing and intense asana practice I would walk out of a class back on to the London streets feeling utterly high. Connected to every cell in my body, in tune - body, mind, soul. Aligned and centred.

I joined Indaba and Triyoga studios in London where I religiously attended the Ashtanga and Yogasana classes led by teachers Stuart Gilchrist, Amanda Denton, Marcus Veda and Adam Raffy. The rhythmic practise of this style, methodically following the breath with each posture, was a liberating and enlightening experience.

Earlier this year, I travelled to India to finally do my 200HR Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training at Ashiyana Yoga Centre in North Goa, studying under Yamuna Devi and Prashant Tewatia. This was a monumental and life changing experience.

I am a passionate and curious teacher. The concept of Elemental is to bring the characteristics of the natural world into the practise. I use visualisation, breathing techniques, gentle adjustments and massage, within the framework of carefully curated and unique sequences to leave my students feeling invigorated. I am patient and accommodating to all levels.

If you would like to experience one of my classes, I am currently teaching on a private 1:1 basis. I will be launching regular group classes soon in North Norfolk, details will be announced here.
